I’m Back - Tell Me How Much You Missed Me

Did you miss me? (Don’t answer that!)

In nineteen days it would have been twelve months since my last post on Promote Dating. The reason for my extended absence?

Workload.

Being self-employed webmasters, we all have a huge one (workload, keep it clean). Late last year mine became unmanageably huge (yes, I’m still talking about workload . . . unfortunately). I had to cut some commitments.

Promote Dating got the chop.

So here I am, almost twelve months older, and I find myself in a position to re-continue where I left off. (And just where was that? I have some reading to do!) My workload is now under control. I’d like to put this down to my own organizational abilities but in truth much of it is owed to my wife who now works full time at my side. Sites are ticking over smoothly and I’m under strict orders not to take on more new projects than I can manage. That being said, I think the future of Promote Dating is now secure. The truth is, while I cut the site to prioritize my endeavors, I’ve regretted it each month ever since. PD makes very little money and sometimes eats a lot of time, but it also brings me a lot of satisfaction. Showing people how to make money can be rewarding. I have no intentions of becoming the next guru but I do like the feeling I get when webmasters credit me for their increased earnings. It’s a buzz!

The fun I get from writing this blog is more just that altruistic sense of helping people though. I find writing about dating promotion forces me to think more clearly than I would usually about the ways in which I make money. This can only be helpful to myself as well as you guys and girls. Not only that but, well, call me a geek, but I’m passionate about the dating industry. Writing about it feeds my most base geek-needs!

So, to conclude, I’m sorry for the absence but if you’ve enjoyed the blog so far, you ain’t seen nothing yet!
